- Business data: your menu, orders, transactions, expenses, staff PINs, and reports you create in the POS.
- Customer data you enter: names, contact details, and order history of your own customers (e.g. for loyalty or CRM).
- Usage data: device type, app version, log events, and feature usage to help us improve the product.

- To provide, operate, and maintain the POS and any add-ons you enable.
- To process transactions and sync your data across devices.

4. Data hosting (Firebase & Firestore)
Nanika POS is built on Google Firebase and stores business data in Cloud Firestore. Your data is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication.
We follow the principle of least privilege and restrict access to production data to authorized personnel only.
5. Payment processing
Nanika POS records the payment methods you configure (cash, e-wallets such as GCash and Maya, cards, and custom methods) for reporting purposes. Where online payments are processed, they are handled by third-party payment providers under their own terms and security standards. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
6. Third-party services
We rely on trusted third parties to operate Nanika POS, including cloud hosting (Google Firebase), analytics, communications, and payment providers. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
7. Data retention
We retain your business data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
8. Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data. You remain the owner and controller of the customer data you collect through Nanika POS, and you are responsible for handling it lawfully. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Children's privacy
Nanika POS is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the dashboard or by email. Continued use of Nanika POS after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
